Woodloch Pines Resort (commonly shortened to

Woodloch) is a family-oriented resort located in
Hawley, Pennsylvania, on
Lake Teedyuskung in the northeast
Pocono Mountains. The resort also extends to
Woodloch Springs, a championship
golf course and community, and
The Lodge at Woodloch, a recently-built
destination spa.
History
Woodloch was founded by Harry and Mary Kiesendahl & Donald and Marjorie Kranich in April
1958. Its original 12
acres consisted a main
lodge,
annex and two
cottages, which could accommodate 40 guests. The resort continued to be operated by the two families and their children for many years. Eventually, the Kiesendahls bought out the shares of the Kranich families. Today the resort, over in size, accommodating over 900 guests, continues with the same quality of excellence that began over 50 years ago.
The resort
The resort is open year-round and consists of many family-oriented activities and entertainment provided by the staff. It is an all-inclusive family resort that operates year round, and has been family owned and operated for over 50 years. There are activities all day long from 8:00 in the morning until midnight for ages 2 to 102. Situated in the
Pocono Mountains, the resort sets out to give a feeling of friends staying in their home.
Additions
- Woodloch Springs, a championship golf course and housing community, was created in 1991.
- The Lodge at Woodloch, a four star spa, opened in June 2006.
